If you fish the channels on the rising tides you should get some, follow the channel out until it widens or joins up forming a bigger hole for them to shelter in.

 Thanks Carnarvonite.

Looking on google earth around bush bay i can see alot of mangroves with small chanells/rivers right up aginst the shore.

Looks very shallow, do they have water over them all the time or just on a high tide ?

Do fish move right up into these mini rivers ?

At low low tides there is just the channels holding water so you have to work on the rising and be back in round half tide to save walking back. The channels run out a couple of mile before its deep enough to get away from them

Channels

Heaps of different species come from the channels, black snapper, pinkies, cobia, tailor, yellow fin bream, whiting, rankin, cod estuary cod, mullet if you use square hooks etc.

Just the case of moving around until you find a deeper hole that produces.

A warning on tides, during spring tides it isn't uncommon for some boaties to get caught out and have to wait until the next high tide to get in so take plenty of water and and food with you because it can be a long wait.

Tides are the key you have

Tides are the key you have to time it otherwise like others said you will get stranded.  For instance, Oct Thursday 18th at 06:19 a predicted tide of 0.08 (carnarvon) thats freakin shallow.
