GPS Marks

Hi Gents, I was looking for some more GPS spots for fishing and decided that a book would be a great start, I bought one on line (The GPS handbook).
While it contains over 3000 marks, that cover Australia, there are no marks/spots, between Rotto/Coburn and Geralton. So for all you newbees looking for a local spot, the book aint gonna help.
There are quite a few around Coburn and Rotto and then the start from Geralton again.
That means 1 of 2 things,
1\ there are no fish there, or
2\ it's the one of the best kept secrets.
Me I'm gonna have to go with the latter.

If it is in the book it aint worth fishing
Half the fun and challenge is finding stuff yourself and far more satisfying

Old school skills still have a place.
We bought our first glass runabout in 1979, no sounder , no gps ( not avail) , just a drunken compass on the dash.
We spent many , many hours around the sound, morn , afternoon, fishing, burlying, and generally getting the feeel of the place,
then around 1980 we treated our selfs to a wizz bang 5 inch l.c.d sounder ( g.m.e ) that cost approx $800 bucks ( in 1980,s money, prob $3000 now!! )
and we were kings!
Over the next ten years or so we fished waters in that boat from Albany , walpole, Dunnys, mandurah, two rocks ( we caught spanish, when not many knew about it)
lano, and even ventured to mackerel island ( onslow) twice, all with no g.p.s ( just maps) and still caught plenty of fish, so my long winded point is fishing and boating shoulndt be
all about pushing buttons and instant results, take your time to properly fish areas , absorb whats happening around you, try different things, and with help from
your devises you will learn and get results at the same time.
Old habits die hard I guess , whenever I head out with mates whom have giant gps and colour video everythings , I still look over the windscreen while
there looking at the dash haha.
