GPS upgrade
Submitted by sea-kem on Mon, 2012-05-28 19:27
Hi all,
Looking at upgrading the GPS. The one I have now is an old Lowrance LMS 334C. Not a bad unit but becoming unreliable as it needs resetting from time to time and waypoints just seem to disappear. So would like some recommendations on a new unit.Nothing ridiculously expensive or huge but am looking for quality.
Cheers
Andy

Cheers Vinesh for the feed
Cheers Vinesh for the feed back. I though with all the electronics gurus on here I would have had more feedback. All I'm after is ideas on a good contemporary GPS with maybe a 8" screen.

sweet :D
id be looking at the raymarine c90w thats 9" and it is capable to be run with cheaper less powerful transducer or can be used with 1kw and i think 2kw wet box transducers if you want to.
if you got it from the states youll save a fortune

heres a bargain if you can convince the seller to post to australia ;-)

on top of the display youll need to buy a sounder unit (either dsm 30 or dsm 300), and related transducer
would be a bloody good setup
