your gramar is shocking. It should be " fishing these holidays WAS shit". You are also missing some punctuation and starting a new sentence with a capital letter. To add to this you could also expand on some of these points to captivate and make the story more enjoyable to read. Okay enough out of me, back to school for you>>haha

Had to head down to a servo on the Tee junction on Saturday morning, wished I hadn't. Cars and trailers everywhere, mums, dads, kids dogs you name it all busting their arses trying to get served and get on the road south and most of them rude arrogant and impatient, its no wonder they are called terrorists not tourists up here.

Will certainly be glad for them to be back in school.

Okay first day of holidays.

Mon, 2010-07-19 18:44

Okay first day of holidays. Monday got taken out for the first time in a boat. Went out to 40m but we had no luck, so we decided to go back to the five fathom bank and try our luck. We were fishing for skippy when i caught a decent wrasse and as i was winding i hooked up to something alot bigger which had grabbed the wrasse half way up. During the fight the fish let go of the wrasse. I brought the wrasse up and it was still alive so i dropped it imediately back down. As soon as it hit the reefy bottom i was hooked up again. We first thought it was a sambo the way it took off but when we saw colour it was a West Australian Dhufish my first and it was caught on a 2-4kg rod.

Saturday during the storm

i decided to take a new freind fishing for the first time targetting big fish well specificaly snapper as it was a storm.

we rocked up at a local beach with a full on 40 knot westerly in the face.  We walked along looking for the drop off i said thats far enough. I tied on my rig with 60lb trace and snelled hooks  and my freind had his step dad tie him a rig that looked so dodgy i just laughed , straight 20lb mainline with two droppers off with a single hook i let him use one of my sinkers as he didnt have one suitable. I was using yellowtail  and he was using mulies.he was hooking the mulies just through the eye and casting them out  i was thinking to myself what is he doing!!. At 9pm his rod screams off hes standing right next to it but dosent do anything i start cursing and run over there grab his rod and strike. Everything went wrong the reel exploded with line tangling everything i dropped the rod and said fix the reel ive got the fish i started hand lining the fish in with every powerful run burning marks in my hand i got it close to the beach and he had fixed the reel so i gave it back to him but he was was holding the rod so awkward and pointing the rod towards the water i nearly cried as i knew this was a good fish and was thinking hes gonna lose it so i took the rod off him again and showed him the pump and wind routine. Gave it back to him for a sec but when i saw what it was i took it back off him and slowly guided the fish in when it was about 10m out i gave it back to him and said slowy pull it towards us but when i looked at him he jerked it and the line snapped!!!. I dropped everything and ran in the water becoming soaking wet.  I had to wrestle the huge fish out of the water as it was flapping around . got it on the beach and started yelling everything i could think of as why he shouldnt of caught it as he had never fished for big fish and i had put so many hours in but i guess thats beginers luck. next time it will be on my rod

the mulloway weighed 25kg

A lot longer than that ...

Mon, 2010-07-19 20:57

Why is "I" capitalized? The Barnhart Dictionary of Etymology (Wilson, 1988, ISBN
0-8242-0745-9) says: "~I~ pron. 1137 i; later I (about 1250,
in The Story of Genesis and Exodus); developed from the unstressed
form of Old English (about 725) ic singular pronoun of the first
person (nominative case). Modern and Middle English I developed
from earlier i in the stressed position. I came to be written
with a capital letter thereby making it a distinct word and avoiding
misreading handwritten manuscripts. In the northern and midland
dialects of England the capitalized form I appeared about 1250.
In the south of England, where Old English ic early shifted in
pronunciation to ich (by palatalization), the form I did not
become established until the 1700's (although it appears
sporadically before that time)."

im only just doing home work

Mon, 2010-07-19 19:50

im only just doing home work thats due 2morrow. have to do a summary of a book. It's 19 chapters long so not much but im only up to chapter 2....

Anyway worry about that latter.

My fishing was alright on the boat with herring, a tailor, skippy and a few gardies caught which was a fun day on the water. To top it off it was low wind with low swell so awsome on the water.

And yesturday went for a squid and got one. It was small but it fixed my squidding urge to squid for the week.

Other then that slept alot and stayed up late like every one on holidays.

Cheers.

Well, in summary, these

Mon, 2010-07-19 20:33

Well, in summary, these holidays weren't the best for me. Didn't get out until second week, were I made use of the calm conditions. Made my way to Fremantle on Tuesday for a flick with Flangies and to try out some new Crony rods. Only got a few herring. Wednesday, was at Hillaries in the afternoon for a buff bream session. Got some decent ones, and lost a lot more! Had the big stuff in the car, so brought out the Spinfisher 950. Someone gave me a herring for live bait to use. Out it went, and within 20 minutes, had hooked up to a sizeable Stingray. 45 odd minutes later, it busted me off very close to the rocks. Thursday arvo was much the same, Buff fish, got some decent ones, lost some more. An old herring was thrown out and I had a pretty decent hook up within 15 minutes. Headshakes and long runs had me thinking big fish. It spat the bait after about 5 minutes. Not happy at all. Friday, went out to Mindarie for some Tailor. Got there just in time to see the end of the tailor run. Not cool. No fish. Saturday, went out with a mate for some big XOS Buffs. Managed some good 2kg odd ones, lost some much bigger. Only a brief session because we had a BBQ to get to that evening. Now, I am pretty sure that covers everything. Try and pull me up on some errors, I dare you.

Should be "where I made use of the calm conditions". Also some inconsistency in the use of capitilisation in fish names i.e. buffs, herring vs Buffs, Tailor. Still, nowhere near as many errors as in the original post though. What do I win?

Think about it for a while and write up a story about your adventures using correct spelling and grammar .NOT text words. give it a go and you might be surprised at yourself

IT SHOULD HAVE READ

To all of the junior members of this fine establishment.I do hope you enjoyed your break from your educational institutions. I myself find it extremely mirthful that your holiday has ended and you have returned to your academies of learning.
I would enquire if your piscatorial activities during your break from your alma mater were fulfilling.
Could you please contemplate the full breath of your angling activities and provide this fine forum with a concise and accurate portrayal of your successes and failures.
Please take care with your grammar and spelling.
AND NO ****ING TEXT SPEAK.

Didn't have much luck with the fish these holidays, couldn't say I tried properly though.

Ended up catching:

  • Countless Blowfish in the Canning.

When you get out of school / uni you don't have terms.  There are no term breaks or holidays, other than for those that cannot, or choose not to work.  Enjoy your school years, you don't get them back.
