Harvey Dam during Marron season

Thinking about heading to Harvey dam this Friday night to camp the night, we wont get down there until about 5:30... Do you think Im dreaming if I think I will get a spot? Anyone who has been down there during marron season who could shed some light would be appreciated

I've been down
There at 7pm some weekends and there's been countless spots free although last time I went down the place was chockas - people had setup quite large sections of the banks and there was probably a dozen cars driving around trying to find a spot. I'd say being the first weekend it's going to be busy.
