So what should I be targeting now its getting colder in the water? Have been trying to be a non bait boat with middling to low success. Does anyone reckon certain species must have bait or does it change depending on conditions/season as to whether you use artificial or real?
Id be really interested in peoples opinion.
Cheers!

Use burley and no bait, plastics will be the best bet to catch demersals on.i prefer finely minced burley like smelling new pies and feeling hungry V eating new pies and not Being hungry.

+1 on the burley, I'm putting bait on hooks much less often than I used to but comeing up with and more heavily useing some pretty wicked burley mixes lately. "Chicken blood & voodoo magic" is a phrase I've heard thrown around resentley.
For shallower / inshore ( under 20m ) this seems to be working for me anyway.
