If you use a drill to get
If you use a drill to get the depth of the timber floor ,then set you saw blade ,when you cut the floor you wont cut anything you shouldn't .I would cut a hole foot square and remove to have a look see,at least that will give you an idea of what is under the deck im guessing the deck is only glassed around the edges as once they sat it there they couldn't have got under to glass it ,i would think it sould have timber runners underneath the floor and glassed to the sides of the hull good luck

Go here, they have done all sorts of rebuilds over the years of this type and they may just have done a Baron if they have they will give a step by step tutorial on how it's done, you could also email peter webster there to ask him, it's worth a try

What do people actually use
What do people actually use to replace the stringers, if you don't use wood? Is it some kind of foam core composite?

Jarrah is great stuff but if you're going to rebuild I thought there were other rot-proof materials available.
