We've been catching some
We've been catching some monsters up Seabird way Barlow. They're there.I've noticed over the years they can be finicky buggers on the boil one day day not a touch the next. One factor is water clarity if it's clear they are everywhere. They are awesome smoked as you say. Gotta build a cold smoker one day.

Looks like a nifty thing to have. I tried for herring on ANZAC day as well but got absolute jack shit, aside from a pissy whiting that I hooked in the head. Had a crack down at Hillary's this morning for them, instead to my surprise I landed a few black bream. Got snagged by a couple of beauties as well.
Your entitled to your opinion, it's just that yours is stupid.

was being site specific in mentioning hillarys. fridays water clarity was exceptional. nothing at a certain jetty south of there either, which usually produces also. maybe after this massive swell hits on tuesday and things calm down a tad the smoker will have two full trays of trunks and my nan and her friends at the nursing home can have a taste of their early days again. cheers all

We fished pinnaroo point for a couple of nights
a month or so back and my 8 year old caught half a dozen good one before she got distracted. I caught a a few with the twins after that as well.We would have got a good dozen or so.A fair few people ive spoken to have said its the best they have had it in years. Not sure if its slowed in the last couple of weeks as we havent been down.Hope that helps.
