Born in Newcastle NSW

Wed, 2009-04-01 08:03

Spent some time in NSW country towns such as Murrurundi, Mumbil, Musswellbrook then moved to Sydney when I was 6. Lived on the northern beaches of Sydney until early my 20s then went on a trip around Australia and decided to stay in Perth after I arrived here nearly 30 years ago.

Lived in Karrratha for three years and Geraldton for one before returning to Perth.

Now live in Mirrabooka. Fish landbased NOR mainly, but will go anywhere to find a fish and I really enjoy the opportunities I have had to fish offshore with kind Fishwrecked members.

Sunny Albany

Wed, 2009-04-01 08:49

Been down here in Albany for 4 years and plan on staying for a lot longer. Grew up in metroland, and i dont miss it.

We were in Exmouth Nov 06 - Dec 07 and will always think of that as being home.

We are hitting the road tomorow so I will be calling Jurien, Shark Bay and Exmouth home for the next 3.5 weeks. The Mrs and kids will have to forcibly get me into the car for when we leave Ex...

I havent been doing a massive amount of fishing since we have been back in Albany. Mainly just chasing bream in a few rivers and around Emu point and catching queenies and nanaguy off charter boat. After Ex trip I should be right back into it, and will also be donning the wetty and chasing some fish under the water with a spear... bit cold though.

Cheers,

Scott

Landsdale all my life... even though its now known as Darch...miss the large quiet isolated market gardens which used to dominate the area. Built out now... Urban Sprawl...lol

Mainly landbased all up the coast except for the occasional charter, but all fishing is good fishing to me.

Live in Bunbury and fish out of Bunbury and Geographe Bay, mainly the Capes. Troll, Bottom Bounce, jig and anchor and berley. Also like to get my Hilux off road and fish Land base. Yep! into it all!

Grew up in NZ fishing for YTK's, Harpuka and Snapper as well as trips to the Bay of Islands fishing for Stripped Marlin. (Been in WA now for more than 20 years) Also lived on the Sunshine coast in QL and fished there extensively for pelagics.

Worked on a Southern Bluefin Longliner in the Southern Ocean based out of Hobart as well. Awesome experience.

Not to many from Mandurah

Sat, 2009-04-11 17:56

Suprised not to see any others from mandurah here.

I was hoping to find some fishing buddies on here. Sick of fishing alone. Both lads have grown up and the girls and cars come first these days. Long weekends you can just about walk on water there are that many boats down that way. Guess there not into fishing then?

Its a bit late to head home early.
