Huge giant trevally caught in Mauritius

Caught on a live bait, It hooked outside the reef and we manage to bring this monster inside the reef in 40 minutes. We had no gaf and yelled for a friend who was on the beach and hopefully heard us. This is my favourite GT. What do you think about it? Do you reckon I can catch a similar one in Exmouth guys?

Yeeaah mate, great fun! Yeah I kept it and gave it to the people of the nearby village in Mauritius. We drunk rum until late which is a tradition after a big catch! In Exmouth of course it will be tag and release.

yeah i have seen some traditional samoan ceremonies where they marinate the GT's in bannana and coconut and then cook it in bananna palm leaves in coals, it actually tasts pretty good, or mabey that is because i had also drank way too much rum..hmmmmmm
