hi gents
I am thinking of purchasing a Humminbird 787 c2 on ebay. Can anyone give me some advice on these and do they have a good software update online system? Whats the quality like, etc?
Any advice would be greatful.
Cheers

Hey DonMy mate had something
Hey Don
My mate had something similar he really liked and it wasn't to bad to use. From memory they are a little bit more exy than the lowarance. Have you looked at Raymarine? I have used those and for a combo I reckon they are hard to beat with and the user interface is really good too.

Good
I've got the 917c and really rate it. If you do buy a Humminbird, the bloke at the Hillarys Boat Shop runs courses ($50 I think) that will teach you how to use your sounder like a pro.

So yeah, great little unit
So yeah, great little unit for sure. I love the detail and it really allows you to figure out what fish you're looking at on the sounder. Had mine reading out to 200m and great for everything shallower.
The plotter side of it is great too. Easy to mark spots and everything. Also easy switching between screens.
I would certainly recommend one mate! Any questions just ask.
