You could head north and try somewhere like Cervantes (jetty / beach) or Jurien Bay (marina wall). Plenty of squid up there as well as the usual suspects - herring, whiting, tailor, etc.

I am going fishing over the weekend at Cervantes. I don't have a boat or four wheel drive but I have heard you can catch a lot of good fish at Cervantes just off the beach and jetties. I am looking for anyone who can give me some basic advice about fishing in Cervantes. I was also hoping someone could explain to me (very simply) what the best way would be to rig up my line. I would really appreciate someone helping me out....
