Um ill try. Cast large
Um ill try. Cast large grapnel sinker (6-10oz)as far as you can. Attatch clip to line and slide bait down your main line.
Slide clip only moves one way down your line.
If your game you can slide multiple baits down the 1 line.

so how does your bait make
so how does your bait make it to the end, if it is a livie it could stop as soon as it hits the water

Obviously the beach, rock,
Obviously the beach, rock, pier has some sort of slope, you have to "shake" it down. lol. Notice the sinker on the clip, it will slide down the line and pull the bait with it, albeit slowly. Can take forever. If its a livie the clip only goes 1 way down the line. so it will eventually swim to the end.

advantage is
The advantage of the clip is.
1. You dont kill the live bait with the cast.
2. You can use very big bait's dead or alive. ( try casting a 2kg mullet or bonito.Maby get 20m out.)
3. When you cast it is only a sinker (no bait) it goes mile's, up to 150m (some guy's more)
4. The clip is made to only travel one way. The swell or waves will will continue to force the bait to the end or your line.
At the end is a stopping point. (usualy a large split ring)
5. You can have a few rig,s pre baited and ready to go as the clip is conected after the cast and grapnel sinker is set tight.
I love useing these of rock walls. The extra hight helps the rig travel down the line faster.( hope this help's you )

just one point to add. You dont really need much of a slope at all. Can slide a bait along a fairly flat beach though you need a shorter slide trace and it is a bit more difficult...
