Not heading here then
Police have raided two properties in Kewdale and Welshpool uncovering a car rebirthing operation and arrested a man who is helping police with their inquiries.
A police spokeswoman said the gang crime squad had executed three search warrants in the eastern suburbs of Kewdale and Welshpool on Tuesday morning and seized nine Prados.
It is understood those involved were purchasing Prado wrecks and then stealing Prado cars to strip them of their parts to illegally rebuild the cars. Each vehicle was then sold privately, many through online classified websites to unsuspecting members of the public for approximately $60,0000, giving the group a potential $25,000 profit per car.
It is believed the operation began after a number of drivers reported purchasing the lemons following car services.
Police and the Motor Trades Association of WA have this year repeatedly warned buyers of second-hand cars to be cautious about their purchases amid mounting evidence of a substantial car rebirthing industry in Perth. In many cases, odometers had hundreds of thousands of kilometres wiped off while safety features such as airbags were not connected.
Separately on Tuesday, police charged a 20-year-old Spearwood man with a swag of charges related to burglaries targeting luxury vehicles including a $230,000 Jaguar and a $90,000 Mercedes.

G'day guys
It was found yesterday in the dunes at Wickham. The odd scratch and a burnt clutch. All his gear and his wallet were still in the vehicle. Four people are now in custody. Very, very lucky boy.
Cheers Mick

Dead right there Pale. 2
Dead right there Pale. 2 juvies and 2 underage. Drank all the piss out of his fridge, took his ipod and his radar detector ( think maybe the boys in blue may have removed it). The funny thing is they left their ipod touch in there and it has got all their photo's on it. May just come in handy later on down the track.
Hardest part is getting all the finger print dust off the doors. Nasty stuff. Just glad the Wakesetter wasnt still hooked up. I reckon that would've pushed him over the edge. And we can thank good old facebook for its return. I think everyone in the Pilbara had their eyes open.
