Sea Rider boats??

Hi folks, I am looking at a Sea Rider 6.3 with a 200 Suzuki, just wondering if there are any problems with the hulls etc.

Any feedback would be great.

I also hope I have posted this in the right section

Cheers, the ferret..

Bloke I used to work with had a Sea Rider that sounds like that one. One with a hard top located in Joondalup?

Anyway he rated it very highly. Wouldn't think he'd be selling it though, he had it in a partnership.

Cheers mate, as far as I know it's not from Joondalup.

It's a centre console.

Cheers, the ferret.

Gidday Ferret,I've had mine

Gidday Ferret,

I've had mine for about 18 months and rate it highly. Been to Mackerel Islands for 7 day trip, then all round dampier, plus mid-west and no probs at all.

Mine's size down from Paul G's at 7.1m and 7.8 overall. twin tanks with 400l  is a real bonus, and the rides damn good for an Ali.

I've just repowered mine with a 250 suzi 4 banger and cruises at 26kn using 1.5l / hour thru the normal metro chop.

They weren't a mass produced boat, and from only the 4 owners I've met who've had one, havent heard a real bad word about them.

One bloke I met in a Jurien servo, on the way back from Dongara saaw mine and came up lamenting the fact that he'd sold his. Thought he was gunna cry on my shoulder!!   :-)

Good luck with it.

Browny.

Great Boat n ride.

Thu, 2012-11-01 14:43

My last boat was a 5.8mtr Searider with a 90hp Honda and just loved it, had many good hours in it. Good dry ride, and good handling boat.

I have since upgraded to a 7.6mtr Stagg and admitt I love this boat more than the searider, but would still put the Searider in a similar class to it for ride etc.

Hope this helps make your mind up, and good luck with it... Cheers
