LBG spinning reel advice

Hey guys how are we all Laterly I have been looking at spinning reels for LBG, have been looking at the shimano spheros 18000FB and the Okuma selina 2 16000. Would these reels be fine for ballooning and handle sharks, if not any suggestion on reels that'll handle the job, Thanks rails

or if you want something

or if you want something hardy for the rocks a penn 950 will do you. not as good as a fin nor but still has a huge spool and a drag that can be beefed to almost 15kg with a ct washer(10 bucks). just under 200 i think. guys at campbells will sell you one and mod it too. good lads.

Ballooning you need more line

If you send a balloon out 200 or 300, And the fish takes a run, What line have you got left on that reel???? You could get spooled

On my over head i send out 700 m and still 400 m left on the reel as a back up

overhead is definately the go

overhead is definately the go like sherbs said but if you dont have the coin or dont know whether its your style a 950 will give you enough cap with 50lb to get a balloon out 150 and still have atleast 300 on so will be ok for sharks poss inshore mack etc. perfect for chasing sambos off the rocks though. maybe take a look at omoto overheads on the net, very well priced, solid reels and apparently have the same internals as the penn internationals. good luck.

Thanks Guys, but I've already have a LBG live fibre with a saltist 50 on it, just looking for advice on a LBG spinning reel as I have a Gary Howard LBG spin rod, just to have a play around with, but something that will handle ballooning for sharks, and tuff enuf to land the shark.
Thanks rails

I have a couple of fin-nors

I have a couple of fin-nors also... Good reel for the money but bloody heavy!!!  Not really suited to throwing lures.... Ballooning would be ok though..

I will get shot down in flames here for saying this, but Im a fan of the tuff tackle reels also!!!
