Margaret River Restaraunts

wondering if anyone can assist.

One of my best mates and his wife are over from melbourne in 4 weeks, and going to be staying in margs for a few days.

Its his birthday during this period, so his wife has asked me to find a niec restaraunt.
Im strggling because it will be a wednesday night, and most winery's only operate the restaraunts for lunch

Can anyone provide a good suggestion?

Cheers

Winos is usually ok, actually it can be very good if the service is good that nite. Otherwise try Must.

Nothing wrong with Settlers

Nothing wrong with Settlers ... unless you order their vegetarian meals (no, it wasn't me). I am a little upset they stopped selling Jarrahdene pork on a recent visit (a must if you like pork, its rare breed and totally organic). They do an excellent blue steak.

If I spent half as long fishing , as I do reading this bloody forum , I'd be twice the fisherman I am.

The Must in Perth is great, and the one in Margaret river region should be pretty similar (massive wine selection - they even have every wine from the region... in alphabetical order). Pretty hard to go wrong with that wone.

Vasse Felix ("Senational" as described by a coworker) or Flutes. Theres also LaMonts which was awesome in Perth, but differing experiences in Margaret river.

Otherwise in Dunborough, theres a place called Bax on Dunn Bay but thought there was something happening there (renos, name change, or new restaurant or something), best to check.

Theres a search here as well: http://www.margaretriver.com.au/

Sorry, I just don't get the votes for flutes.

I ate there once before, next time that it happened it was the only place open (day after boxing day), I had a pie and sauce from the servo.

Is it one of those places that was really good in the 90's or something?
