Under the Mercury umbrella

Pretty sure Mariner now fit under the Merc umbrella. Early 2 stroke motors were using Yammie  gear to my knowledge.  Refer Mariner site on the net prob easiest.

I know you are asking about 4 stroke but my only experience was with a 2 stroke and it was a great little tractor.

Had a 60 4 stroke from 2001

Had a 60 4 stroke from 2001 to 2009 with about 1000hrs, many small issues over that time, overheating at low speed or idle then oil leak, finally lost faith with it and traded for a yammy and lever looked back.

They have better charge rates in them if you want to run a bit of gear at low rpm
