Hearing reports of Tuna off the northern suburbs. heading out from Mindarie this weekend and would like to chase some. What do I look for and what lures are they being caught on?

I've seen them out from
I've seen them out from Hillarys, although they weren't there last time I looked 32-38m.
Look for birds, look for bait, and then drop out richter jellybabes or jr tornados, although Daz & Chrisp were getting some good results on bibbed minnows.

We were locating the schools with skirts and few weeks ago then
once we found them we slowed down and ran bibbed minnows,(x-raps)
Try silstar christmass trees, they work well or even better zukers

all gone I believe. Just run
all gone I believe. Just run christmas trees out the back when cruising around. If they are around, you'll get them.

Blue Fin Tuna
Hello Iceman they are Blue Fin Tuna and they have been around for some time. I saw some caught on the weekend in and around the 40m mark.
Quite exciting actually I hope they hang around and make that area home. No one I know of has seen Blue fin in such number as there have been in the past couple of months. Those catching them are filliting up and having a good feed.
Just use hard body or skirted lures they are not fussy.

They are still around, got some yesterday half way between the bank & 3 mile reef. they are not as big as they were a couple of months ago, around the 3-4 kg mark.
