Never get tired of seeing this

Howdy guys an gals,

Weather loooked great for a bit of crabbing on the Peel Estuary in my tinny with my daughetr and nephew. Thought there  would be a few boats out there but didn't think there there would be BLOODY 83 of them, that i could see with the naked eye.

After adding a bit of a secret to my nets it got off to a slow start but we managed to bag out with our 20 in 2 and a quarter hours and then upgraded for a further 30 minutes after thahich was fantastic, have had a some great feeds so far this season.

And nothing better than seeing a cooking cage full of delish.

Cheers

Nice haul there.  There are always plenty of boats out in the estaury this time of the year.  It amazes me that you can still get a good feed with that many people crabbing?

well done mate,

Went down myself yesterday too.

Must admit get quite a few odd looks when trying to launch a 26ft boat in the serpentine river!

We managed plenty of crabs too in the middle of the day, then bbq time on the back of the boat.

Afternoon consisted of mucking around on the jetskis then a cruisy drive home.

On the way back in, the water police were at the mouth of the serpentine and murry river pulling some people up, however i noticed a couple people doing thigns in boats they shouldnt, and the water police doing nothing about it.

Sitting on the bow of the boat with legs hannging over while doing 15+ knots.

People in biscuits getting towed around in the river without life jackets.

biscuits with 4-6 people in them, no life jackets.
