 Perfect drum liner Wal!!

Nice rig and compared to what you have to pay for a decent 7mtr + boat i'm sure the price you paid would be very comparable...

every thing comes at a price,

Fri, 2017-05-26 11:46

every thing comes at a price, what would a 10-14 day charter cost you all up, flights or drive up, accommodation charter boat hire etc. I am happy to sit on 11-12kn great fuel economy, full amenities on-board, hot showers, yes there are costs involved in keeping a boat of this size, but to me the benefits out weigh the cost.
You only live once enjoy it.
Mooring costs,
Buy mooring $6-7k
Yearly cost ( Gov ) $800 odd
bi-yearly inspection & repair $400-850, depending if things need repairing.
Lift and pressure clean boat $500 Yearly
Lift and antifoul boat $700 bi yearly + anti fouling

maintenance

Fri, 2017-05-26 15:09

If you lift the boat out and pressure clean and drop back in without antifoul the growth on the hull will be quicker. If you use the boat often it will stay cleaner. Lift out and antifoul paint/ shaft anode renewed, hardstand fee, drop back in with the work done myself cost $1587 yearly. Yearly marina berth fee $6200. Would you berth it for a couple of months during winter. Anyone want to buy a boat?

 That depends on how much

Fri, 2017-05-26 16:50

That depends on how much anti foul was applied, yearly is better, but you can go bi yearly. Don't know where you lift at but those prices are up there. Price I got 500 lift out and back, plus hard stand cost. 32t lift capacity. Will put the link up tomorrow as using the phone now.

Wal that cost is all up with antifoul paint and parts. Enough paint for 2 coats on a 46ft boat.

Good products , not the cheapest yet you get what you pay for. I just spent two days in the car for a round trip to Perth for annual yacht supplies mission . There's a few drums of their gear in the back of my ute !! . I'm going to try out Kiwigrip anti skid for my top sides .Now it's the next four weeks up on the hard doing stem to stern repaint.... Make sure you put extra coats on your waterline area , this is where most of your growth will be . Seems to me that this area is easier to scrub and get to so you're going to be wearing down anti foul level faster than the rest . Enjoy...:)

Spot on, extra coats on all

Fri, 2017-06-23 08:31

Spot on, extra coats on all leading edges and water line. good luck with the repaint, thinking of doing mine next year, but will pay a pro to do it.
Reason you get more growth on the water line is it gets more sun light
