is it as easy to tie as it
is it as easy to tie as it looks ??
shame you can't see how it's tied , start to finish.
may have to give away the good old uni.
If I spent half as long fishing , as I do reading this bloody forum , I'd be twice the fisherman I am.

I got the "Heavy Metal at
I got the "Heavy Metal at the Ranfurley" DVD before going to NZ jigging and there's a rigging segment at the end that show this knot. It uses a clear tube to protect the line where it makes contact to the swivel (this section is also threaded through the swivel twice). The knot is then just half hitches (about 12 or so all tied in the same direction) then finished by melting the tag end into a ball.
They talk it up as a strong knot but I haven't tried it myself.

Wow havent you guys used the AG Chain Knot
Wow havent you guys used the AG Chain Knot from Jigging Master before, this is the best possible knot I have ever used for jigging, before heading to the Three Kings this year knowing I was going to be battling some monsters I asked Pony from Jigging Master what the best knot to use is, the answer was the AG Chain Knot. After 5 days of fishing at the Three Kings I didnt bust a single knot using this with the PR knot, even after landing around 20 kiniges all around the 20kg mark without re tieing.
I do have some photos of it on my laptop here somewhere let me no if they will be a help on here, it is mainly just a heap of under and over half hitches and its rock solid !
Cheers Coxy

snellxalbright
my old boy reckons he used to use this kont alot when he lived on christmas island and he reckon he used to finish it of with a technique almost the same as a snell or albright, its not either one of those but similar technique, wrap wrap wrap loop and pull. ill see if i can get him do it next time i see him and ill post some photos if anyone wants.

I do much the same to finish
I do much the same to finish mine, except in the opposite order. I take the tag end, point it back towards the knot, loop around the mainline a couple of times then out and pull tight.
