Hi Axey, took a Smith Mejiyume 105g jig with a squid assist. Dhuie went 14.5kg - great to finally get a decent one!

Snapper on rubber, dhu on metal, mack on (hard) plastic!Way to throw the tackle box at 'em! Took me six months and three different trips to pull THAT trifecta!

What was the Water temp, especially with a Mackies being caught. The water off the back or Garden was cold yesterday, NICE CATCH!

Water Temp
Never checked the water temp, nothing surprises me with metro mackeral any more (this was a spotted mackeral btw) they turn up shallow/deep, in warm /cold water and well into winter.
