north mole snapper

hi, i might be going to the northmole for a fish. I woud be targeting snapper and balloning. Any tips like hooks, rigs, sinkers ect.
Also how far would a 4-5kg snapper run.

they only run 35.2
they only run 35.2 meters....the next size range being 5 to 6 kgs run 37 meters

hey mate.. like they said the north mole is currenty closed until september i believe. You need an easterly wind to balloon.. And snapper generally dont take big runs. Any decent size beach reel will be more than enough just watch them around the rocks.

i ahve caught some good
i ahve caught some good pinkies of southmole but it is alot better of the northmole but like it was said its shut for a while due to development in the area which sucks we missed some big blows recently

North mole is open...
The workmen @ north mole let the fishermen thru as the fence is NOW left open (after work hours) so you can drive out to fish. It is difficult to find ur way thru but you CAN fish there. Try goin after the workers are finishing ( 4pm onwards) up as they can direct you :)
