if they are following and not biting ...you aren't winding fast enough. Wind flat out ,if you don't hook up, they will come again next cast

Two Can fishing

November in Exmouth is "two can fishing time", put a full can in a stubby holder in your back pocket and an open one in your front pocket to drink as you walk along flicking the lure blindly out in the water. When the first can is empty its time swap it with the full one and turn around and head back to the esky flicking the lure at anything that may bite, it should take about the same time as it took unless you get a fish.

If no luck there, move the esky to another beach and try the same technique again

Seriously, first light, rising tide on any of the accesses on the western side, 6/0 hook, no swivel or sinker and as much bait as you can fit over the hook, cast it out and leave it till something picks it up. You may lose a few hooks but you will score some good fish in the process

 Excelent fishing techniques.

Both will work or at least make you feel good by the time you head home..:)
