Out board cowling paint flaking off-repaint
Submitted by Scotte on Fri, 2014-04-04 20:50
Ok so with the paint on some parts of my outboard cowling (Honda 225 hp) starting to flake off im wondering if anyone has been down the path of sanding and repainting? Im wondering the best primer to spray on the plastic and what is the right way to go about it. Any tips /info appreciated

i have had it faded and peeling.
and found for $200 i had it resprayed at a spray shop. Fair price for a job where if I had to buy all the products you wouldn't get much change. Plus the finish was better than mine would have been. If your really keen though see garry martin at boatpaints fremantle. Hes great for advice and has all the products to get it right first time.

Get a Cover
Get a custom Honda cover for it. Less salt spray under the cowl too..
