Patio, liquid limestone and a bit of building work - advice and some work for someone
Submitted by John the Pom on Wed, 2012-10-24 12:04
We're looking at getting the back garden and entertaining area wiped out and starting again.
Does anyone have lquid limestone that has been down for a few years, I just wanted to know if it cracked badly, looked good still and what sealers have been used on it?
Also, if anyone knows people that build patios or does liquid limestone then we have a lot of work if someone wants it.
Limestone area is approx 176m nd the patio is a big one as well.
Anyone who can help is is interested in quoting then leave a message

i would stay away from liqid
i would stay away from liqid limestone it always looks crap after a few years people dont wanna pay for top shelf sealers that cost $300 plus per 10l
if you go for the limestone make sure they use galvinised mesh it should not crack
i would go for a washed agregate concete much better looking and a range of good colours
i just had a job poured in karrinup for a client was $105 per sq mtr they ended up doing 260 sq
getting the bottom line final answer from a bunch of blokes that use false names and put smiley faces at the end of paragraphs is not the best place in the world to get the information you seek.

None of the liquid limestone
None of the liquid limestone people have mentioned mesh. They have talked about pouring onto the pavers we have down now.
Can't get concrete mate as it goes around a pool and we dont want sharp edges
Thanks Sammy, I've called Aidan he was very helpful

Have had Liquid Limestone
Have had Liquid Limestone under my rear patio since 2006 and after a blower vac and hose down it looks as good as the day it was put down. And this is despite me being lazy and not resealing it in that time. Its nice a cool under foot even in direct sunlight on the hottest summer day. Cant say the same for my concrete driveway. Melt your feet off on a hot day!!!!!!
oh yeah and not one crack. This is even after driving my hilux on it regulary at its not the recommend thickness for cars(i think they said 150mm?). Mine is only 100mm i think.sunshine

Expensive but we used Lumea
And at our request they installed stainless rebar into the driveway as we park our heavy boat on it and more than satisfied - they just did our patio - 91 sq metres but the cost was high at a little short of $10,000 but the result is superb
Patio done by Westral in Canning Vale - brilliant design and faultless installation and very competitively priced - would highly recommend

If its done properly it liquid limestone wont shouldnt crack,
mine has at home but its doesnt look that bad if you dont try to patch it. I wouldnt use liuqiud limestone or especially washed aggregate under your entertaining area as its really hard to sweep clean, better off using good pavers or conrete/tiles I reckon
