Is it just me that feels sorry for the sea rescue guys that will one day have to pull your body from the water coz you got flipped over and caught up in your fishing line 4 k's offshore?
Isnt there laws against going that far out on top of a peice of plastic?
Dont get me wrong... Great fish an all... but is it worth risking your life an putting other people in a situation to save you?
There should be a law that prevents ill prepared boaters in poorly serviced boats going out to sea in conditions well beyond there ability, but there isint. Ask the Sea Rescue guys how many tools in boats get rescued as opposed to Kayak Fisherman.
Do some research before making comments like this mate, guys like Jayden are well prepared, experienced and have all the correct safety gear on well maintained craft. We all take great care in what we do, and dont put ourselves in a position where we have to be rescued.
Just Boating Safety Requirements that require the carrying of flares, bailing bucket, a rated PFD and an "approved" anchor and enough rope as he is beyond 2 nautical miles from land. Over 5 NM and he would need an EPIRB , parachute flares and a radio
I can see the PFD and he will have flares stashed in a container somewhere. But does he have an anchor and enough rope?
cheers brett and to gezza if that was to be the case or i was to get taken by a shark or whatever atleast i went out doing something i love right??? not sure about you mate but im pretty dedicated to the sport and i would love if it took me further in life and doing the hard yatds is the best part off it ...and when your out that far floating around other boats and you pull up a baldy its a fuckin good feeling let me tell you
Don't let grumpy cry babies who have nothing better to do than poke holes at what you’ve done stop you from posting on here or doing what you love, There are too many people in this world that would have us all wrapped in cotton wool never doing anything fun. What’s the point of life if you can’t enjoy it, I know I would rather see someone like yourself out fishing than getting drunk in a park and breaking into cars and houses, Keep up the good work
sure do noha i have 35 meters off rope on a handline with a meter and a half off chain..
I also have a basic first aid kit an epirb that was with me at the time a uhf radio wich i forgot :/ and yea... pretty well equiped like most off us yakkers are
Great capture mate! And awesome comments- as long as you're prepped shouldn't be any reason not to go out there for a crack... and as you said, a shark or somethin gets you atleast you're doing something you love!

I am, as I've said, merely competent. But in an age of incompetence, that makes me extraordinary.
