PB Ray was a bit of a challenge making sure he stayed away from moorings but was good fun, First fish caught on overhead gear cheers to flangies for the triton so far hasn't missed a beat, handled it beyond expectations. It fought a bit harder than the average squid or herring haha. And yes he was released waited for him to cruise off before calling it as a successful release.
If the pictures are a bit too big I'll sort them out soon.

Back breakers. Did they take
Back breakers. Did they take much line? The ones that I've caught in the past (some monsters) have taken barely any line on 50lb gear, just a bit of sideways movement.

Sometimes they will sit on
Sometimes they will sit on the bottom, if you hook one in shallow water they won't do that as much.

Haha my mate caught one of these today and (apparently) the ray's barb popped the RIB when he brought it close to cut the line.

Yea he had a dmall run to start with but was mostly just sitting there had to go hard with him at the start to stop him wrappin round the moorings so it wouldve been interesting getting him at a clear spot to see what he could do.

Yeh I agree but if you have
Yeh I agree but if you have heavy enough hear (50lb+) to put decent pressure on them early then they don't go too far, but slightly too light gear and there's a good chance you'llbe seeing the back of your spool
