While I will admit to taking an interest in the Glory this year, I'm an AFL fan as well, and all I can say to that free kick is that the umpire should get the sack and soccer players need to harden up. Soccer players pretend they're hurt when they're not and AFL players pretend they're not hurt when they clearly are.

how shite soccer is there all a bunch of clowns running around to see who can get the best dive of the game or who can get a free kick for pretending there hurt! then when they lose they all cry foul! and if they actually have any balls and have a go they get red carded and sent off for being a man!

Thanks Chris it's amazing how fast these threads sink to new lows. Back to the issue Australia got the same penalty treatment against the Japs a couple of world cups ago. You can blame the umps all you like but that's life. They get it wrong in AFL as well more so than soccer.

It's amazing to see the hate
It's amazing to see the hate from hardcore AFL fans. If the AFL was such a great game, why are we the only ones that play it worldwide. Even the administrators of the AFl realise soccer is superior, they keep bringing in rules to make AFL even more similar.
Maybe one day they will stop giving you points for missing the goals.
I enjoy watching both games by the way, nothing against the AFL.

soccer is a skilful game,end of story,thats why there is a world cup every 4 years,that guy wasnt even tripped at all,as far as im concerned it was a setup on behalf of brisbane roar and biased towards perth glory,the referees girlfriend works for brisbane roar,in grand finals there should be an unbiased referee,that is not connected to the sides playing the grand final end of story imo...afl is a differnt game all together,and played only in oz...............
