This is what people were pulling out of the Sound on the weekend:

Some of them were massive and fish were just peeling off the surface school to hit baits.
Andrew reckoned the biggest were pushing a metre

What I think is a shame is to hear someone on a public website advocate that people should go out quickly before the ban comes in and nail some spawning pinks .

im curious to know tho, the guys catching these pinkys, are they males or females???
Ive heard that the females during spawning generally wont hit baits??
If anyone is getting females, are they carrying roe??
I caught a couple 50cm snapper a couple weeks ago about 20 mile out and they had roe in them. Was pretty supprised to see a fish of that size full of eggs.

Go hit the inshore reefs
Go hit the inshore reefs instead! theres always heaps around out there just gota find them.............which aint that hard. Leave the spawing schools to do there work! and target the ones that arnt a 300 fish school wide and all rev'd up.
Im pretty amused with the post, basically you should have written........."snapper going off get out there and rape it" cheers spess.
