Quickest seasickness witnessed
We helped when we were teenager some Pro Crayfisherman drag in their mullet nets of Avalon Beach and the 4 off us got offered to go out with them crayfishing. Still in those days used cow hides and hocks as bait. Aim was to leave from mandurah and pull the pots. 2 mates on each off 2 boats.
Now poor Dangerous Dave started feeling sick about 50m off the ramp, and by the time we cleared the heads he was ralphing over the side.
Obviously no mercy from the Cray boys and the 2 off them and myself could only giggle and feel sorry for him. Was not the most pleasant trip out there and with the odour of off bait made everything worst.
Now I dont often suffer, and lasted until we started back home but couldnt contain the berley anymore, so after 4hrs I ralphed.
BUT I have never seen anyone spewing on a boat after not even hiting the sea, and only about 10minutes into a four Hour trip.
Poor sod never came out on a boat again.
Any similar weak gut experiences?

Only after a heavy night on
Only after a heavy night on the grog, i threw up my servo sausage roll before i even unloaded the boat. Out on the water there was plenty of burley that day. Definitely learnt my lesson.

Cray hocks
Used to love taking passengers out when crayfishing and using hocks that had sat in a bag on the deck for about a week, get them to help and once the bag was opened that was it. Maggots about an inch long crawling everywhere, pick up a hock and give it a flick and the toe caps fly off, if you weren't holding it tight it would fly through your fist leaving you with a hand full of hair.
They would spew their little hearts up. The other decky had a full beard and would check out who had the best lunch then blow all the snot out of his honker on to his mo and beard then rub some of the hair off the hocks on for good measure then poke his face right up in front of the poor bugger whose lunch he wanted. Sure enough, they'd start spewing and he' scored a free lunch.
Cut a huge turtle out of a monster tiger shark up north, talk about stink, it was that bad I couldn't get the smell off my hands for about a week, with the help of another , we got the turtle out but the 4 deckies had bolted up wind to the bow of the boat all chucking up and us yelling at them to come back, the weak gutted pricks had no stomach for the job.
As it came out it was a waste of time because after about 2 months the shell delaminated and fell to bits, I was devastated after what we had done to clean it. Was the worst thing I've ever smelt and I've whiffed some beauties.

Get seasick pretty much
Get seasick pretty much anytime I get on a boat, even in sub 1m swell/seas in geographe bay I'll be spewing up by the end of the first drift, even sooner if I have to look down to rig up. No sympathy from the boys of course.
But I'm a sucker for punishment and will never say no to a fish, though I might pass on the 20 hour steam to the rowleys again..

Spewing
Got a mate who suffers badly, the worst I have seen him he was green as INSIDE Hillarys marina. Lasted about 3 minutes from when the rope was cast off until he was over the side spewing. Waste of a good charter ticket!
Charter fishing off Exmouth we decided to troll for some mackies on the way around to the reef, and gave him first go as the conditions weren't great and we knew his form. He hooked up near on straight away, and brought the mackie on board where it was quickly pacified and he held it up for some photos. When he let it go, not sure if it had even touched the deck before he was over the side spewing. He spent the rest of the day horizontal on the deck apart from the odd chunder session. I reckon we fished about seven hours that day, and he would have lasted 15 minutes. Luckily I don't think he can even remember the other six hours forty five minutes.
Luckily for him he has improved slightly, but can still only go out on selected calm days.

first time
i was at ag school when dad sold the country pub we had and bought a fishing boat out of mandurah.i told him i would leave school and work with him.he didnt say much bit in the next holidays he took me out with them, long lining for shark and dhui,i was fine until they finished setting the line and we started drifting.i went down below and lay down and then it started i never stopped vomiting for about 12 hrs,it seemed like 12 days.i thought bugger this i will go back to school.he told me many years later that he kept the boat beam on to the swell on purpose so that i would go back to school.well it worked, strange thing though 2 years later i joined the merchant marine and went to sea and now over 40 years later it is the only time i have been sea sick.

Wasn't the quickest but
Wasn't the quickest but certainly a mass chucking - recall going over the Kangaroo Island on the ferry one Easter, with a school hockey team on board on a rough day, I was in the bar having a bourbon and about halfway across when one chucked, two seconds later another - followed by another - and another - and another - and another and .......
Another time we went to KI in our 18 footer and it blew up. Due to come back so we spoke to the ferry captain and told him we'd follow the ferry back across sitting in his wake in case the motor cut out. Wasn't too bad apart from a big swell but following the ferry we lost count of the people lined up across the back chucking up. As we were pulling the boat out at the ramp at Cape Jervis on the other side a few came up to us commenting they couldn't believe we went across in such a small boat.

One of the charters out of Bouvard
we went out on I think it was Bouvard Charter when we arrived back from Karratha and the boat was still coming down. The Mrs and regular deckie after the steam to half way to Bunbury got sick which she doesnt do often.
However when the whistle blew she was up and fished, beating me and everyone on the charter with her bag of Nannies. Repositioning she looked dead but never missed a drop.
I think if I was seasick I would just crawl into a corner and sing songs of misery.

Heave Ho
When I was younger we lived in Rockingham and went out just about every weekend and spent most of the day 12 mile or more out to sea. no matter if I took sea sickness tablets or not, eat breakfast or not it was guaranteed once we pulled up out there I would be straight to the side and heave, Once I had done my normal trip ritual I would eat everything on the boat most times and be good for the rest of the day.

Been out twice on charters -
Been out twice on charters - Blue Juice in exmouth and Aqualib out of Mandurah. Both times 4m+ swells. I produced plenty of burley both times but still managed to fish. I blame the blokes smoking at the back so no fresh air! On the Aqualib I was right as soon as we hit calmer water on the way back in. Dad was green for a week and had to sit down in the shower.
