looks like an illegal tyre dumping site to me tyre reefs are generaly structured assemblies the one in warnbro was before a trawler or something ripped it apart some years back
yeah, it's osborne reef. up to 2 million tyres placed there to form a reef back in the '70s. Bad move. Hurricanes and currents moved the tyres and they ended up damaging the surrounding reefs and covering an area of 34 acres. Since 2007 they have been removing the tyres at 1000 tyres a day. I did wonder where they're relocating them to but apparently they are going to recycling.
