River fishing

I promised my neighbours kids that I'll take them fishing. They decided to fish the river for bream and maybe catch some blowies (hopefully its not the latter).
I've tried Bayswater and Salter Point a few weeks back and got nothing.
Anyone had any luck recently? If you don't mind sharing where abouts as where to start it would be great.

redclif bridge i took the
redclif bridge i took the kids last weekend and had a ball all bream were in the 15-25cm range but was no shortage of them caught probably 20 in couple of hours
