At the moment I'll usually have a fish then a snorkel/spear on the same day. Depending on how the latter goes, I might fish again in the arvo.

16's

16's Adam on a 1000 Tuna. Plenty of oomph, even when just using one rubber in tight country.

Surprised how quickly one of the original rubbers perished though, didn't get that many shots out of it. Replaced it with some Latex USA rubber which is going well.

The other original rubber though is fine.

I did when I was younger, but haven't for a while now.  Thinking of getting back into diving, have all the gear but the tanks will have to be stamped again.  Suspect all the seals in the reg would be stiff too!

Spearing Crays?

Thu, 2008-09-18 18:56

Andy,

I hope your post was a typing error...

"50/50 for us, we are mainly spearing crays though."

Don't think cray spearing is legal here!

Yep Alfred,

Get your tanks tested and get a kit put through the regs and you'll be right to go. let us know if you need a dive buddy always dreamed about having a dive off a Boston Whaler or a Mako Centre consoleCool

I hate bottom bouncing and trolling with a passion so for me spearfishing offers an exciting, challeging and interesting way to catch a feed.

On the line though, just love my sportfishing (GT popping, jigging etc..)
