Union through & through, can't stand league unless it's Origin footy

Super Rugby - Force but formerly Brumbies

Europe - London Irish, even better if those bastards can secure a place in the Heineken Cup

Soft spot for Bay of Plenty in ITM & don't bother following the hairy back sheila provincial currie cup

No contest between the two

Must be union. Support the Wallabies unless they are playing the ABs and that's when the origin roots kick in. Follow the Super Rugby and the Force which can be challenging at times. Bit like the Dockers, work in progress.

League is poor mans rugby! To the untrained eye, league can be entertaining but UNION (The Game They Play In Heaven) is a game of strategy that involves carefully formed offence and defence play. The game has been likened to American Football because of this and believe it or not the number 1 sportsman voted by New Yorkers when asked in a survey to vote their favourite sports person was Will Genier from the Queensland Reds a couple of years ago.

I love Rugby Union but consistently get pissed off when numnuts with not much intellegence try to compare the game to AFL! It's like trying to compare Ice Hockey to Hockey! Or Netball to Basketball.

After the Football World Cup, (Soccer) then the Olympics, the Rugby World Cup is the next biggest sporting event in the world.

I'm a Western Force Member but unfortunately don't get to too many of their games, but as a person dealing with big business, I find time and again in business I'm dealing with people who have enbraced Rugby Union and continue to support it after once being staunch AFL supporters. These people also continue to support AFL and their teams but a lot more support is going to Rugby Union.

Love em both!Grew up until I was 8 yrs old watching Russell Faifax carve it up for the Roosters. Moved to perth in 74 and had never heard of Aussie rules and now love that too. They all have their good points and skill attributes. Union is king of rugby though.

Union

Sat, 2013-07-20 08:51

Union by far but will back the mighty maroons each year. League just isn't a team sport when compared to union.

I back the Reds but they'll be up against it today in NZ.

I've played both sports. A grade level and loved both. I'm about to hang up the boots from union. There is a lot more skill to union especially with the forwards. Rule changes over the years have made it a better game to watch.

I love union and league!!

Sat, 2013-07-20 22:55

I love rugby union because i was brought up loving it, being from south africa, but when i moved to australia i grew a bit of a soft spot for league and now days, although i support the springboks and sharks in union, i love the roosters playing style (especially after u stole our guy, SBW or sunny bill williams) and will back them any day and today they smashed cronula sharks 40-0!!, and the maroons all the way!! (JT is the man)

League

Mon, 2013-07-22 08:09

League first then union, but being born and brought up in Batley (UK). I supported Batley RFC, and played for Liversedge RFC, 2 of the founder teams of league.

Even still got my team shirt from the centenary year of rugby league in 1995.

Over here its St George strong team holding the ladder up with the Eels at the moment.

Follow the Force here in WA and the WA Pirates hopefully they can make it into the NRL.
