Submitted by Wet Dreams on Sun, 2009-04-26 18:13
Hey all. im after some help on chasing some salmon, as i went to meelup on sat morning from 8-1 and didnt see one at all let alone a big school. so was just wondering what everyone recomends i should go to 2moro morning. will be the same time so just deciding between going to Smiths beach in Yallingup or just going to Meelup again and hoping for the best. so whats everyone think?
Cheers Sam.

smiths beach
for my money the only reason to fish in the bay is if you SEE em first or if the weather forces you there. mate i'd go west coast every time.
head right to the end of wyadup road, park it up and get off those rocks - as always, watch out for the swell/surge.

Well just thought id let ya
Well just thought id let ya all know how it went. was a smart move going to smiths..plenty of big salmon. was there 15mins and the pros raced down the beach and hauled in a school which filled up 3 n half ute loads.later in the day one of them signalled me ova n started taking me up the beach pointing out the school as we were chasing them, casting away. was good to see them helping me out n sharing the fish haha.
