I would say he is talking
I would say he is talking about lake gelorup , off lakes rd ,but no idea how to get in there apart from boat or canoe as all surrounding land is private , wouldnt be worth a look for another month anyway aa crabs very small atm in mandurah , I can think of better places like out from pleasant grove or coodanup as the lake smells pretty evil when its hot and I imagine it would be very muddy and black ooze bottom , that stinks !

Site correct
Name not - it Geogrup not gelorup. But yes it used to have algal blooms because it is very shallow throughout and gets little in the form of summer runout flow. I used to paddle the kayak across to get to the upper Serpentine for Avon Descent practice and seen a few but never bothered scooping in there (there are heaps off better LB spot around Mandurah. Because the lake is so shallow it made for a very hard paddle to the the groung effect.

Is it a bit like paddling
Is it a bit like paddling through the canning on some of the off-chutes near castledare? It's really soft dark algae that you could probably sink into and makes it hard to paddle through unless you have a really flat bottom on the kayak
