sharks at 3 mile hillarys

fished inside of the 3 mile off hillays today and was havin some fun on a couple of sambos when my estimated 15+ kg fish was hit by a 3m plus tiger shark. also spotted a couple of abnormaly big bronzies. looks like its not just whites everywhere but the number of sightings and attacks lately are makin me skitish when underwater.

Sweet as, that would have been fun! Crazy havin the tiger take ya fish inside the reef,. Lost a couple of rigs this arvo to suspected sharks, hope it doesn't get like exmouth ay

Yes im starting to get a skitish .not looking forward to the next dive ,will be looking in all directions ,we got some good sambos today one around the 25-30 kg

When Iused to dive
And I did this heaps, sharks was the last thing we thought off. Now I am sure its on the mind of evryone ducking out for a dive. Family member is a ComDiver around Cape Town. He just wont dive near seal island, otherwise he dives all around the Cape. Asked him if he would dive here, and he said bugger that, the sharks here are just widespread, and not like seal island at all.

yep
yer the thought of gettin hit pops into my mind at least once every dive but i think that just happens when im hanging around big drop offs
. dont like that but we all know the risks that we are taking every time we get in the water.

I was fishing out on the 3mile last night too and had a 2.5 to 3m unidentified shark smashing skippy as we released them! Also had a turtle swim past the boat

Awesome! Gave me a fat seein sambos smash skippy under the boat, to see sharks hit the sambos would be cool, gets the adrenalin goin especially when its a few at once usin the fish as a tugowar rope
