Sharks spotted feeding off a whale carcase

just heard on the radio that there has been a whale carcase spotted off rotto with several big sharks feeding off it. Might leave the sambo grounds alone for a while.

tigers
channel 7 just showed fottage of tiger sharks feeding on the whale. They also mentioned and showed the tooth of a tiger shark that was pulled out of the chick who got attacked off garden island the other day. So there we go.

hahaha, so then which channel is playing silly buggers... i also found it funny how everyone was told to stay away but (by the looks of it) the fisheries boat was bumping into the carcass and taking photos, probly "research" i guess

look more like GW's teeth than tiger sharks teeth to me. Triangular and serrated.

I'm fishing, lets see who bites????
That sharks were nearly twice the size of my Ski which is 3.3 m long. Did anyone see me go past. If not well thats because the ski is pretty fast. I can verify Great Whites, no, very big great whites. The bottom is white and the top is grey and they catch any prey.
As long as they feed on the whale they might stay out of the sound and let us fish in the Calamari Classic in peace and quite

I just got back from a arvo
I just got back from a arvo dive got a little bushed with the fading light ,Didn't see no sharkies,must all be at Rotto ,did see shit load of crays .

was a great sight
I was lucky enough to be up in a helicopter to see it.
Spotted 5 Tigers of varying sizes cruising around the whale and almost taking turns to come in for a feed.
The smallest was probably 2 mtrs with the biggest Tiger probably hitting the 3.5-4 mtr mark.
Have just spoken to a mate who was out fishing and called in to see the sharks feeding on the way home - he reported the tigers had all but vanished but a bloody big white of nearly 5mtrs was feeding and cruising around and under the boat..
