Snapper Ground - Cockburn Sound
Submitted by Tradewind on Tue, 2013-08-13 02:07
Hey all,
Hoping to take my boat out on my maiden voyage on Sunday morning early.
Chose Cockburn sound because it's relatively sheltered for my first skippering and with using the boat properly for the first time
I've read about D9 and the gravel patch being the go-to places, and also Harding Rock and Sulphur Bay.
For this time of the year can someone recommend a spot (Can PM if you dont want it public)
If you can think of an area that might also have breaksea cod etc in the confines of the sound without venturing out past Garden Island i'd be grateful
Thanks for any advice, would love the first trip out to be productive =)

Hooorr, uncle, you pinger! Haha
I am, as I've said, merely competent. But in an age of incompetence, that makes me extraordinary.

Alas there'll be four lads on the boat including myself
Seems you're everyone's best friend when you get one, until the repair bills come around ;)
