Sorry not fishing related but is strange.

Over the last few days I have been in Melbourne attending my Brother in-laws funeral. The church where we attended the ceremony was a converted industrial warehouse i.e. concrete slab unit. (PS I'm not religious).
What astounded me was that outside the building bristled with security camera's.
There were 17 on the front entrance wall and 12 that I counted around the side wall overlooking the car park and walkway. The cameras were stacked in places 3 high and surveyed every square inch out side this building.
My thoughts are that this was not burglar security, but cameras recording and studying the congregation. Body language, persons volubility etc.
Anybody else ever seen anything like this?

But even if it was, the "Coffin cheaters" wouldn't have that many cameras around their fort.

Maybe religious tensions ie, muslim gangs vandalising the place.

Australia, especially Melbourne and Sydney has changed a bloody lot in the last 20 years!

Dark, dirty and depressing. Hardly saw a Caucasian. Why do we want light rail in WA, noisey, bumpy, dirty and masses of overhead wires.
Don't want to go there again.

You don't have to tell me!!!

I was there a couple years ago, and caught the train into the city.

On the 60 minute train trip, I never heard one word of English spoken.

I asked the rellies "Where are all the Aussies?  The train was full of foreigners"

They replied "All the Aussies go to work!"

I would go with safety and security, not brother being the major purpose.

It was a building typical of around Perth, that a small business has, the multiple units made of concrete slabs. Only the entrance, office rooms and the hall. Nothing untoward in that area.
Except the Pastors running around in BMW suv's.
