southbound boats

Still looking and found a boat builder who builds southbound boats. They have one on the market at the moment which looks like a nice setup. 6mm plate bottom, 4mm sides, hard reverse chines and fine entry. Looks like i t would travel well but cant find any info on them. Spoke to the builder today but a of course he is going to say they are a great boat.

Anyone know this brand and if they are any good or bad.

Cant comment from personal experience but they sure look like nice boats. I saw one a year or so ago and was pretty impressed. Good $$

Road test it mate!

The best way to find out is to go for a sea trial in it and then you will know for sure.  I did that today in a barcrusher and found out once and for all what they are like. Bloody awesome ride especially on a day as shitty as today.

Would love to go on a test

Fri, 2014-12-12 20:12

Would love to go on a test run but for a 15 hour drive needs to be worth it.

My concern is being a small builder if they are built strong and will handle the pounding up here when the weather is bad. As for the price cant find any better on the market.

One of my builders had one. Rides well,  his  only complaint it was arse heavy at rest and would always have water on the deck. Neck Minnit Preston craft

yes will handle a beating built tough as nails

 Awesome boats. I've been on

Awesome boats. I've been on that exact same model in some really crappy weather and being a owner of a plate boat myself was amazed at the ride. Well worth the drive for a test drive.

I took my boat to my mate

Sun, 2014-12-14 19:47

I took my boat to my mate for a respray 3 weeks ago and this exact boat rolled in for painting. I got to look over it before and after paint and it looked the goods! Wish I could have seen it after all accessories were fitted. The only thing I would want different is have the bait table removable to give more room when I take the family out cruising but besides that it looked mint. The 'Teal' paint looks better in the flesh than the photos.
