spot stealing f#@kwits or just dont have a clue ??
Is it just me or over the last few years there seems to be more boats coming closer to you when you are fishing or diving.Im not sure what drives individuals to b line to a boat if they see them fishing or diving but certainly over the years its getting unbelievably frustrating. Two weeks ago I was diving of myalup with a mate and my step son watching the boat (dive flag up) and a muppet drove around my boat and stopped on the bubbles above where we were diving to what I can only assume to mark the spot. Not only is this practice extremely dangerous its illegal to do so. Unfortunately my step son didn't get the boat number but described it as around 6m marone bar crusher with a radar and two large white antennas. He had a radar and still had to park on top of us which gives you a good indication of his intelligence .unfortunatelly without a number we couldn't complete a full report with dept of transport. Is it just me?

Might be wrong but I think the day you are talking about was when the fishing comp was on. I did not put the boat in the water on those 2 days for this reason.Bad enough anyway without all the out of towners looking for where to fish.

just out of curiosity what are ppls thoughts when someone is diving on or near your pots. (not whether to abuse them or not). is going into the 50m radius considered a need?
We all know divers dive around where you put you pots (again def not accusing divers of pilfering pots)
I for one wouldn't want to hang around and wait for the dive flag to be put away before going to check my pots.
prob obvious to keep the lookout and go in at idle speed but what is legal ?

personally I don't dive near
personally I don't dive near pots I leave the crays to the people who cant dive or choose not to dive . If someone is diving near your pots you are able legally to drive your boat carefully inside the 50m exclusion zone if a flag is up and there are divers in the water

Yeah we'll I've had people dive near my pots , I drive very very slowly up to my pots making my intention clear to the look out. Haven't had a problem yet even spoke to the divers to see if they had found one of my cut pots - they were pretty cool about it as I was going so slow and mentioned that they could hear the motor and it's just the Ftards that fly past that's an issue.
