stolen boat

my mates boat was stolen from two rocks yesterday, it is a 5.5 metre centre console extreme plate ally barra boat, it is dark green with the name momentum on the side, if anyone has seen it can you report it to the police or message me on here. thanks

this boat was built in the NT, and there is quiet a few people up there know this boat so if it is spotted up there it should get picked up pretty quick.

may not be the case Paul, up our way last year there was a boat stolen from a farm about 20ks from my place.
It was later found (months) in the bush hidden and stripped only a few k's away.
Habit seems to be to stash it nearby where the perpertrator wont get caught if its found (in bush etc) then later move it/strip it when the heat has died down.

Saw another boat was stolen this morning and the boat was overturned at the boat ramp and the trailer was gone. Its not funny anymore!!

Dirty Dogs took it from a locked yard then dumped it in the water. Appears they were more interested in the trailer as this has not been recovered. Boat ended upside down in kwinana before being towed back by sea rescue.
Hope your rig comes back!

Get a gps tracker hidden on boat and trailer sends a SMS to you if it starts to move without you.
Great peace of mind I have one on the trailer and one in boat.

How hard would it be to have a section on this site for stolen boats and boating gear Adam.
If there could be a section listing boats and gear that has been stolen, and the listings could be down loaded and printed off people could keep it in their boat/car and it is readily available for referencing when you are at the ramp etc. I believe that once the topic is a week or so old and goes of the list of topics it is quickly forgotten, if there is a specific section listing boats and gear that has been stolen members can click on it very easily to bring them up to date on what has gone, and as mentioned can be printed off and kept in the boat for a ready reference for occasions like when you see a boat and think now what did that stolen boat look like.
Just a thought.

Well if any locals are involved in these boat thefts, and we here about it I will put there names and address on the site for anyone intrested. Ive just moved my boat and blocked it in with the landcruiser,I will also get a gps tracker and a wheel clamp on the boat in the coming days ,If she moves I'll call the cops once Ive been and picked her up.. Low life shit.

Ive got one of those GPS trackers sitting at home was about to install in my boat before it got sold! Will put it in the next one for sure, they seem good and cheap to run !

You can get those Trackers
You can get those Trackers pretty cheaply now that work on a SIM card, they can text you whenever you want or you can request a text from it and it will tell you in GPS coords where it is. Jaycar do a good one for around $120.
