Sunday fish between weather

Sorry no pics today forgot the camera.TWell with the forcast saying wind was coming in early we headed out thinking it was going to be a quick trip and home. The rain clouds parted and the wind droped .Ended up being a nice day.Plenty of small fish around with a heap of tags getting fixed to fish.

Fish for the day

16 dhuies  12 tagged, 2 released without tags and 2 recaptures.

1 Sambo around 20kg

6 Baldchin 5 kept 1 released

1 Black ars tagged

and other mixed fish Skippy,Wrasse,Sargent Baker.

A few size dhuies but nothing for the bag.Another good trip and that makes over 200 tags JODY MORE TAGS PLEASE..That takes us to 21 recaptures will add the new ones to the list i put up weeks ago some intresting growth rates.

Nice one mate. Good to see the recaptures. What depths you fishing and where you launch from? I took off from Hillarys at 5.30 am today and found the weather to be ok on the inshore reefs but thought it might have been a bit rough out rotto way..

True? Maybe I should have ventured out to rotto. Bugger. What size boat you running?

Edit: just read your profile. Your 7.4 dwarfs my 5.5. Prob why you headed out and I didn't!

How many kits have you gone through now is that 4? Thats a lot of fish, I'm onto my second kit as soon as Jody gets back. Lots of recaptures is awesome. Same spots or have they moved a little?

Hows things going Andy,Yes I

Mon, 2012-08-06 05:49

Hows things going Andy,Yes I have done 200 tags plus a few of Jodys,The fish we are recapturing are on the same ground ,but I think they are coming back after time away most tags are all close to a year from when tagged of late . We have dived these spots and some have had no dhuies on them ,and the ones with dhuies we  don't see any with tags .Have not had a fish move from where it was tagged yet .For the next 2 months was when we put a lot of taggs in last year so will be intresting if recaptures go up  between now and the ban .

Doing really well on the Baldies! What size were most of the Dhuies?

Did Jesse get the big Sambo?
