Sunday out in the tub
Hit the water at around 5:30 but could only be out for the morning . Turned out to be great conditions and should have gone out further. All fish that were kept other than the shark were in the esky by 10 but we kept going to try and get Sandy a trout but no luck. Lots of size but small black snapper were released to fight another day.
The mckie was a real shock , dropping my whole whiting bait down and all of a sudden my line was s reaming off . Thaught I had been sharked. I got the good sized trout and a damn big stink fish . Gees they go bloody hard. We called the last drift so I started cleaning the boat down and had just finished when sandys line went ballistic , she struggled with it a bit then handed it to me and after about a 10 minuit fight we had a Nice size shark on the end of the gaffe . More cleaning to be done. All up was a great day with some nice fish and great conditions

Don't know about trout around
Don't know about trout around the markers but I know first gand about big sharks. Hooked one on Sunday and could not stop it .
The trout we have caught have been on small whiting or half gardie that I get at the spoil bank. Fresh local bait is the way to go
