Swan crabs health warnings

Swan crab health warnings just wondering if ppl are cleaning them before cooking as recommended as I caught a few this morning and I feel by cleaning them first then boiling them I'm gonna lose a lot of flavour thoughts or advice what are u guys doing with them thanks

Depends where you got them
Depends where you got them from. Wouldn't eat them upstream from Pelican Point as per the warning, but any from downstream are fine without cleaning. I steam them rather than boiling, cleaned or not, for 8 minutes and they come up a treat. You lose no flavour at all.

Mothers in law usually wont knock back a feed even from that bloody son in law with a boat ... I usually
give it 24hrs to work its possible evil magic , before happily tucking in myself....
