Dont know about Perth but I have seen them in the Murray River at Dwellingup. Also caught heaps in the Collie River, though you generally dont see them during the day which means you have to fish at night.
Crasny 1 we have our own Tandanus here in WA, Tandanus Bostocki. Its very similar to the Tandanus Tandanus found over east but dosent grow as big. They can breed in dams unlike most of the other aust native fish. I caught some many years ago in the Stirling Dam at Harvey before they banned fishing there.
