How funny is it that sailfish eat toadfish? Yep you read that right. Can anyone comment?
I read that when sailfish round up balls of toadfish they won't touch a lure- all they want to eat Is toadfish!

Apparently (according to some google results [from other forums mostly]), seagulls, snapper, dhuies and mulloway also eat them. And, apparently, they are only toxic when the gonads are enlarged. I didn't think they occured in large numbers offshore tho, i.e where marlin and sails are? Wonder if anything has a go at them friggin nor-west blowies!?

Caught a largeish coral trout a couple of years ago and when it was put on the deck it spat a descent sized blowie (pretty well digested) out of it's gob.
